Our current Colombia is from Finca Palmichal. It is very recently harvested and has fresh and bright acidity with a huge floral aroma and subtle fruit (tangerine, pineapple) and of course a nice full body. It is high grown at 1,560 meters above sea level which means it matures more slowly and so is sweeter in the cup. Colombia naturally produces some of the best tasting coffees in the world due to the lush volcanic soil, elevation and climate of the region. We buy most of our Colombian coffee through a cooperative of farmers that are familiar with our strict quality requirements. We set up our own system of cupping (tasting) each batch to ensure we only select beans that are outstanding in their flavor and freshness. Many of the farmers we source our coffees from are Cup of Excellence and local competition winners.
