For Kenya, AB is a bean size and not an altitude or quality (like a Strictly Hard bean or Grade 1). Typically we buy AA, which is a larger average bean size than the AB. But we buy for cup quality only. So we put prejudice aside and cup that way. Sometimes we are surprised at the result and this is one of those times. An excellent example of the Kenya flavor profile: Sharp, winey sweet acidity, full and complex body, long smooth finish. Kenya coffee is grown between 1,400 to 2,000 meters above sea level (masl). This lot also has the certification of the Rainforest Alliance.
